YARA offers a modern Japanese-Mediterranean fusion cuisine. Our menu brings together flavours and techniques from both culinary traditions, served through three distinct kitchen stations: our Main Kitchen, the Sushi Counter, and the Robata Grill. During spring and summer, we are open 7 days a week. In April and May, we welcome guests from 17:30 to 24:00 (last food order at 21:45). From June to October, doors open at 18:00 until 24:00 (last food order at 22:30). We also host Sunday Lunch every week from 12:30 to 16:30 (last order at 14:30). You can reserve a table through our online booking system, by calling +34 616 453 809, or by emailing reservations@yaraportals.com. We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak season. Visit our contact page for all the ways to reach us.
We understand plans can change. If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so more than 24 hours in advance to avoid any charges. Cancellations within 24 hours will incur a fee of 50 € per person, and no-shows are charged at 100 € per person. YARA is located at Puerto Portals, Locales 1-6, 07181 Calviá, Mallorca — right on the waterfront of the marina, approximately 15 minutes from Palma city centre and 25 minutes from the airport (PMI). Find us on Google Maps or visit our contact page for full directions.
Yes. We offer a dedicated Vegetarian Menu, vegan adaptations upon request, and many naturally gluten-free dishes. Please inform us when making your reservation and remind your server on arrival. View our menus to get a sense of the ingredients we work with.
01Reservations & Booking
Yes. When booking through our website, we ask for credit card details to guarantee your reservation. No charge is made at the time of booking — the card is held only as a guarantee. Full details are available in our general contracting conditions.
We do our best to accommodate seating preferences. Please include any specific request (terrace, window, private area) in the notes section when booking online, or mention it when calling. We cannot always guarantee specific tables, but we will do our best.
During peak season (June to October), we recommend booking at least one week in advance, particularly for weekend evenings and Sunday Lunch. During spring (April–May), a few days' notice is usually sufficient. Reserve your table now.
While we always try to accommodate walk-in guests, we strongly recommend making a reservation in advance — particularly during summer and on weekends.
02Opening Hours & Location
We go on holiday from the 7th January to the 12th February. Outside of this period, please check our homepage or contact us for the most current opening information.

Yes. In addition to our tasting menus, we offer a full à la carte menu where you can choose individual dishes from our Main Kitchen, Sushi Counter, and Robata Grill.
YARA is the only restaurant in Puerto Portals with a Japanese binchotan charcoal robata grill. Reaching temperatures far beyond conventional grilling, it imparts a refined, clean smokiness to every ingredient — from seasonal vegetables to local sea bass, culminating in the richness of Wagyu Miyazaki A5.
Yes. Every Sunday we serve lunch from 12:30 to 16:30, with a dedicated Sunday Lunch Menu. Book your Sunday Lunch in advance.
Yes. "The Nook" seats up to 14 guests. Our Chef's Menu is a multi-course journey with premium upgrade options. We also offer seasonal specials including caviar and truffle dishes. Visit our groups & events page or contact us to arrange a bespoke dining experience.

04Dietary Requirements
Yes. We offer a dedicated Vegetarian Menu. There are also vegetarian options on our à la carte menu. See all options on our menus page.
Our kitchen can adapt several dishes to be fully vegan upon request. Please let us know when booking or upon arrival so we can ensure the best possible experience.
Many of our dishes are naturally gluten-free or can be adapted. Please inform your server and they will guide you through the available options on both our tasting and à la carte menus.
Our kitchen is not halal or kosher certified. However, we are happy to discuss your specific dietary needs. Please contact us before your visit so we can advise on what we can accommodate.

Yes. "The Nook" seats up to 14 guests. For larger groups, we offer the Half Main Room (up to 50), the full Main Room, or our Terrace. See all spaces on our groups & events page.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on our terrace area. Please let us know when making your reservation so we can seat you comfortably. Pets are not permitted inside the restaurant.

Yes. YARA features a beautiful waterfront terrace with direct views over the yachts and marina of Puerto Portals. It seats up to 60 guests for dinner and 300 for cocktail receptions, with all-weather solutions available.
